We've had quite a weekend. Thursday night, Calvin woke up in the middle of the night with 102 degree fever, so we stayed home Friday. Then Friday night, it spiked to 103.6, by Saturday it was up to 104! Calvin was acting fine, aside from being more tired than usual and not eating much. When I couldn't bring the fever down, we headed into Convenient Care in Champaign Saturday afternoon. They checked him out, made sure there was nothing obvious going on, and advised me to alternate motrin & tylenol every 4 hours. By the time we got there, the fever had gone down to 102 - which still seemed high, since I had given him motrin already!
His fever has gone way down, but he has turned into a little cranky boy - not his normal happy self! And we think it's a stomach bug now, after a throw-up episode Saturday night and some really nasty diapers... enough said...
With him still having a fever today and still having diarrhea tonight, it's looking like another day home for us tomorrow...
