Kevin & Joy's Wedding

Hi again! This last weekend Calvin and I had the pleasure of attending my cousin Kevin and his wife Joy's wedding reception. They were married in Virginia, where they live, and traveled to IL to throw a great big party in the tradition of Niemerg weddings!

Calvin had a BLAST. There had to have been about 5 little boys 3 and under running around (yes, all boys, our family is famous for them!), and they all were all over the dance floor. They also had this really lovely candy table set up in the middle of the reception hall. What a temptation. I tried to limit his intake, but Calvin's new trick is to lift up his shirt and tell anyone within earshot that he is "so hungry!".  As skinny as he is, he seems to be able to get food out of anyone!  (We do feed the child.  It's just that he is picky and doesn't always eat everything on the table. Like meat. Or most vegetables. Or anything new.)

This is how the evening started - a dozen kids on the dance floor.
And it continues!  (Alex is around here somewhere too, he was dancing his heart out too!)

Pride and Joy.
Look familiar?  Here is Phil and his other son Adam at Adam's wedding.
Tradition!
Calvin got his dolphin at Kohl's that day and hasn't lost sight of it since. It danced as well.
A great time was had by all!  I'm so happy we were able to celebrate with the couple.  I heard an awesome breakfast was served after the party ended, but unfortunately the little guy was crashing from the fun - and sugar - of the day and we had to miss it. Next time!!
