Lots of Pictures!

Sorry I haven't updated in a while! Grandma and Grandpa Niemerg and Aunt Mary came to visit on Sunday, but I forgot to take more pictures! Calvin slept for quite a while that afternoon, despite our best efforts. He finally woke up to see their faces right before they left.
We are supposed to do "tummy time" every day for at least a few minutes. This strengthens Calvin's arms and legs. Since he sleeps on his back, we have to make sure he gets a little bit of this every day.
He hates being on his belly for too long!

Calvin is destined to be a Cubs fan! He's already cheering for them:-)

He naps every day in his swing. It doesn't look comfortable, but most of the time I check on him, he has some version of this pose going:

He has started sucking on his fingers when he is hungry. Usually it makes him mad when he realized that the finger is not what he really wants and he starts crying!

Copper likes to keep an eye on Calvin. Actually, he likes being right up next to Jeremy and I, regardless of where we are. He gets banished from the bedrooms fairly frequently since he likes to try and lick both of us to death.

He keeps an eye on things for us, too.

He's had enough!

We have Calvin's baptism scheduled for this Saturday, July 25th. We're going to have a big party to celebrate afterwards, so we've been planning away! We also have an appointment set up to finalize child care this evening. I go back to work on Thursday, July 30th, and Calvin will need to start going to a babysitter the second week of August. Luckily, Aunt Laura and Aunt Mary said they will come and watch him on the 30th, and Grandma Niemerg will come up to watch him the first week of August. This will make our transition a lot easier, and Calvin can't wait to play with everyone!

We have also moved to sleeping in the crib. The bassinet was just getting too small! Every day, we would wake up to the "whack, whack, whack" of Calvin's arms beating against the bassinet walls! He is growing so fast.
