Christmas comes early for us sometimes... here is Calvin with a couple new items:
A mirror!!

With his "magical" seahorse that still doesn't seem to calm him down...
The breathable baby bumper is also new. It's just enough cushion to keep his arms and legs inside the crib, while allowing air to flow through it.
We are having one heck of a time with sleep again. Still. He's gotten ino a habit of sleeping for 2 hours, then being awake for 3. So for example... Monday night - bed 7:30, up 9:30, finally sleeps in the swing all night at midnight. Tuesday night... repeat, just move it all back an hour. So we're working on letting him get to bed "drowsy but awake" and letting him fuss and cry a bit. It's pretty hard on Mommy.
His well-doctor visit is this Friday, so I'll be asking a few questions. Could he be teething? Is he to the point where we can let him cry to sleep (as much as we let him fuss, he still hasn't been able to finally settle down for the night without me holding him or being in the swing). It sounds terrible, but I don't want a 3-year old who can't soothe himself to sleep!
Tomorrow Calvin is 6 months old... where did the time go!? I hope everyone is staying warm on this windy, snowy, frigid night. I know we'll have LOTS of blankets on with the heat cranked.
