At one year old, you've just given up your bottle (yesterday). You take sippy cups with whole milk and just a little formula for the transition. You had been waking up at 5:30 for a while, but recently switched to a 4:30 wakeup for milk and cuddling, then back to bed. You take two naps, and are usually taking a bath around 6:45 to get ready for bedtime shortly after.
You eat just about everything we give you. Your favorites are CHEESE (you can't get enough of this), graham crackers, and bananas.
You say a few words - mostly "MAMA" and "BYE-BYE". Everything has the potential to be held up to your ear like a telephone - blocks, cars, whatever fits in your hand.
You are just growing so incredibly fast!
Here are some pictures from today:
First off, the pirate ship water table! There's no water in it yet here, but cool does this look?
Alicia our babysitter got you this present:
It's a riding scooter toy and a Cubs outfit (that's two presents already that are Cubs outfits. How did they know you're a fan already?) :-)
Here we are with the birthday singing and the cake!!
That icing is delicious!!
By now, the cake has been taken away, he's just trying to lick all of the icing off of his hands!
And an ice cream mustache. On Calvin, not Daddy.
Tomorrow, more fun! Mommy and Daddy took off the day so we can go to the Bloomington zoo and the Normal Children's Museum! We are also going to bring Calvin by Mommy's work to show him off. What a fun day!
