Sayings

Calvin has grown so much in the last few months, it's so funny some of the things he says and does.
  • When having a very serious conversation about what is not acceptable, he answers with: "I won't. Okay Mommy?"
  • "My own" and "do it myself" are very big deals around here. Unless he wants to sit on Mommy's lap for a snack:-)
  • Calvin has learned to get his own water from the refrigerator.
  • He has also learned how to let Copper out the sliding glass door... which means sometimes he tries to escape on his own too "I go outside!"
  • When trying something he does not like: "It's not good."  This is a typical response to chicken, potatoes, peppers especially.
  • Calvin went pee on the potty for the first time Wednesday night! It surprised him. And it's put into our head the fact that he is probably close to being ready for potty training. (Mommy and Daddy aren't necessarily ready yet but Calvin is almost there!)
  • We have been going to a Little Learner's class at the Normal Children's Discovery Museum once a month.   We get to do circle time, crafty-centers for painting, stickers, and play-dough, and other hands-on activities. He also gets to play with a big parachute and sing songs.  He has a blast.
  • One of Calvin's favorite toys, still, is his kitchen. Best Christmas present ever. He still likes to bring Mommy and Daddy "noodles" and "green beans" and "cake".
  • Calvin sings a lot of songs now - ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle, Old McDonald, Row Row Row Your Boat, and a few more. His memory surprises me.
That's all for now!
