First Night at Grandma's

The Ivesdale KC BBQ is this weekend, so Jeremy, Calvin, and I spent most of Saturday out that way. Calvin was in his Cubs outfit (we'll have to get a better picture later) and got lots of compliments on it! He got to see some new faces during the day at the ball games. Here he is with Jeremy's aunt Kim.

That night, Calvin went to Grandma and Grandpa Tracy's house to stay. Grandma was so excited to have him all night! Jeremy and I actually ended up staying there too so that we wouldn't need to drive all the way back to Mahomet, and then Calvin and I came back to town early to let Copper out. Which, by the way, won't happen again, since Copper couldn't last the night and pooped in his crate. Poor dog, it was just too long for him. He goes that long sometimes during the day without a problem, but he just couldn't do it overnight. He has never pooped in his crate before, I felt so bad when I let him out of there.
Copper also had an escape attempt today. He was out in the yard for a while, and then I got a phone call from a neighbor a couple houses down that they had Copper in their yard. Yikes! I'm glad he went that way instead of toward the road. I checked the yard, and apparently the gate was open a little. I have no idea how it opened, we never use that gate! Copper was just out making friends, and was just as happy to come back home. Silly dog.
Jeremy's aunts Donna and Nancy stopped by last week to meet Calvin:
