Day two. More than you ever wanted to know about peeing and pooping in the potty (feel free to skip this post if you want, no judgement!)
Poor Calvin has a bad cough and cold. He coughs quite a bit, and has trouble sleeping. He woke up around 4 and we went out to the couch so he could sleep more upright, I also gave him Motrin since he had a slight fever. He slept until after 10!
Since we've started potty training, we decided to keep it up. He was so excited about wearing his big-boy underwear again! This morning, he had an accident during breakfast. Then I just made sure to bring him to the potty every 30 minutes to 1 hour. He gets this big grin on his face when he goes in the potty! His potty sings to him when he pees too!
We put him in a diaper for naps and bedtime but other than that he has been in big-boy underwear the whole time.
He caught himself pooping in his underwear so he ran to the bathroom and finished in the potty. He did not like that, not one bit. He'll get it, though.
He really has done great. I never expected it to really be this easy - I think he is ready and willing - and once we actually got him to sit still on the potty it all is coming fairly easy. I am still terrified to bring him anywhere (think: ticking time bomb!) and we haven't tried him on anything but his Fisher Price Potty, but we have made some great progress over the last two days. Nicci, our babysitter, will continue potty-training tomorrow, so hopefully we have seen the last of the diapers!
