Every night before bed, we have a little routine. 3 books, talk about our days, and prayers. Then we tuck Calvin into bed and "try" to leave the room. Lately this has involved searching the room for monsters with our "Evil Doctor Porkchop" and "Dinosaur" flashlights. Tonight we also had to look for skeletons.
Then I tell Calvin I am leaving to go check on Copper - because we know he might be getting into trouble! And Calvin says OK - but "don't let me cry". OK, Calvin. And tonight "I don't have to go to sleep, Mom". OK, Calvin, that's fine.
He cracks me up.
Also before bed, we did a little running around the house in a blanket. "I'm a ghost - woo-wooo. Don't be scared, Mom, it's just me. It's just Calvin."
I want to make sure I take down some of these sayings before I forget them all!
